Happy March!
It has been an extremely busy and exciting few months. We have some incredible luxury listings including two on the Manhattan Beach Strand— each very unique and exceptionally well built. An agent was asking me the other day, “How do you do it?” And mentioned, “You’re so lucky”. The truth is that I am very lucky (I even have spot on parking karma!). However, I really had to pause and think about my answer to the question of how I do it. I meet with new agents all of the time who want to know “the shortcut” to success. I have to chuckle at that one.
The truth is there isn’t a shortcut…or a magic pill—for anything in life. Or maybe it is better said that THE SHORTCUT IS DOING THE WORK. I look around and see so many people spending time researching ways to circumvent actually doing the work to get the business they desire, or the body they want or the relationship they seek. And time after time it becomes clear that doing the work, whether it be internal, spiritual, physical or professional, is the fastest way to the results we want.
Taking the pills or searching for another way just puts the results that much further away in the future. You may achieve short term results and think you are on the right path, but almost without exception, I see that the people that put in the work, are successful.
