Happy May!
Spring is here and while it seems fleeting at the moment, the blooming flowers and the butterflies are a constant reminder that the sun will be more present and new life is emerging everywhere.
When I think of Spring, I think of cleansing…cleaning out the closet, committing to new good habits and a fresh start. In truth, each day can be a new beginning (heck each minute can be!), but somehow with the start of May, it feels easier, right?
One of my commitments for the past few years has been to listen more, not just to other people, but to nature and my intuition. It has really changed my life. I’ve written before about the miracles that appear when you are open and paying attention. But the connection that is possible, with people and animals and the planet, when we slow down and listen is magical.
This year I am recommitting to be more in listening mode. As Rumi wrote, “The quieter you become the more you are able to hear.” And what I hear is peaceful, serene and joyful.
